I may love edgy designer togs and fancy foreign cosmetics, but I proudly march into Target on a regular basis. On my last trip, I was browsing the latest from Isaac Mizrahi when I remembered I needed a new eye cream. I had just finished a sample of N.V. Perricone M.D. Eye Area Therapy from a past TestTube, so I was a little reluctant to browse the economical products; however, there wasn’t all that much money in my gorgeous Kooba bag.
It occurred to me that this would be a perfect opportunity to finally try a Boots product. The British brand actually have several eye creams, but I went with the one from the Boots Botanics range, Moisturising Eye Cream.
In addition to hydration, the grape-centric formula addresses the three things bothering me most about my eye area: dark circles, morning puffiness, and the beginnings of fine lines. It’s really a joy to use, thanks to its surprisingly light texture-almost too light to consider a cream. There’s a hint of light-reflecting sparkle to keep the area looking bright throughout the day; and even though no one’s looking at me while I sleep, using it before bed helps me wake up to less swollen, more supple skin.
