A Truly French Manicure

There’s no better time to travel than during the spring, and we know plenty of our NewBeauty readers will be jet-setting (with the latest NewBeauty mag in hand, of course) to France this season.

And in between the outrageous pastries and must-see art that Paris has to offer, we wanted to let you in on a calorie-free treat (if you don’t include the champagne) for a Saturday afternoon in the city of light.

Paris’ posh Place des Vosges recently welcomed a nail bar at the Marais District’s must-visit hotel, Pavillon de la Reine. The new nail bar offers manicures on Saturdays in the hotel’s library. Open to the public, the ambience feels like a comfy cozy neighborhood townhouse (rather than your typical nail salon) with decadent furnishings and oil paintings. While you wait for your nails to dry, flip through books from literary greats, warm up to the crackling fireplace, and sip on some fine French bubbly. With no resevations required, why not treat yourself to a real French manicure on your next vacation?
