When trying moisturizers and anti-aging creams, I’m not brave enough to test the product on just half my face, leaving the other half as my “control group” to see how well a particular product works. I like the idea of “trust but verify,” but not when it comes to my face. I want to leave to my (and everyone else’s) imagination what things would be like if I didn’t use moisturizer, eye cream, lip balm and the like. (Even though I am a lawyer, I am resisting my normal instinct to prove everything.)
So, when I started using Wilma Schumann Neck & Bust Creme Intensiv on my neck and decolletage, my plan was to keep my neck and throat looking smooth and free of the lines and crepiness that can come as that delicate skin ages, and to keep my very fair skin looking healthy. Well, I found my answer.
The cream smells delicious-when I sniff it, I immediately picture blue-green bath salts, the Caribbean ocean, and other things spa-like and aquatic. It has a gentle, pleasing aroma that is in no way overpowering and doesn’t smell old-ladyish. I love to go to bed smelling the faint, gentle scent on me. And the texture is terrific: thick and rich, as a neck cream should be, but not gunky and gloppy. It absorbs into my skin readily and doesn’t make me feel like my pillow will be spotted or oily from residue. (I have that issue with my heel cream, but my heels can get pretty rough, so I have no choice there!)
I am putting my trust and faith in Neck & Bust Creme Intensiv for the long haul. The skin on my neck feels very smooth after I rub it in, but it does not feel coated in product. At best, my neck and decolletage will stay soft and supple. At minimum, it is a great kissing potion. After I have applied it, my kids nuzzle in, saying, “Mommy, you smell so good!” And my seven-year-old daughter is already insisting that we share my supply. (Hey, at least she doesn’t ask for Botox!)
