I hadn’t been to Whole Foods in a while, but recent dietary tweaks led me to the Boca Raton location a few weeks ago. I browsed the food, but, of course, I was almost instantly distracted by the humongous beauty section. And much to my surprise, there was a brand I’d never heard of: Collective Wellbeing.
I’m a sucker for a good scrub, so I picked Honey Buff as my introduction to the line. This exfoliator is made for combination skin (like that of yours truly), and its base is heavy on the certified organic honey. The gentle sloughing is attributed to lemon peel powder and rose hips, with a shot of echinacea for pore purification.
Honey Buff definitely left my face glowing, not to mention sweetly scented from its natural ingredients. Even though I prefer creamy textures, the gel-like consistency still delivered exactly what I want in a scrub. In fact, it’s so thorough that it almost erases the need for a cleanser.
Perhaps the best part of Honey Buff, and any Collective Wellbeing product, is that you decide where a portion of the proceeds are donated to four environmental non-profits: Union of Concerned Scientists, EcoTrust, The Nature Conservancy, and Keep America Beautiful.
Oh, by the way, I did purchase some actual food at Whole Foods. But Honey Buff is far yummier than anything else I bought that day.
