Men who can’t achieve chest definition despite exercise and those with gynecomastia (excess breast tissue) may have heard of pectoral implants as a proposed solution. Many feel this option is too drastic, however, and continue feeling dissatisfied with their chests’ appearance, unaware that there’s a less extreme option.
Pectoral etching involves targeted liposuction around the edges of the pectoral muscles, followed by the placement of a small fat pad to emphasize the newly-sculpted contrast. Etching offers barely-noticeable scars, and because there is no implant, there is no chance of rejection or need for replacement.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, only a few hundred men have undergone this lesser-known procedure, and most who have are happy with their more-masculine results.
