Last month, the FDA approved a new topical prescription treatment for acne, Epiduo, and the buzz has already begun.
Developed by Galderma, makers of over-the-counter and prescription skincare products, Epiduo brings together high-performance percentages of benzoyl peroxide and adapalene, a retinoid currently available without benzoyl peroxide under the brand name Differin (also by Galderma).
Applied once a day, Epiduo reportedly encourages results in as little as a week, with a low occurrence of side effects, by targeting three prominent causes of acne in people age 12 and older.
