When you sit and think about the things that could improve the quality of your life, what comes to mind? Winning the lottery? More friends? A tighter tummy? How about a brand new face wash?
A new study published in the Archives of Dermatology has found that cosmetic products and good physical appearance significantly improve what they deem as “quality of life.” How do they know? The scientists measure it with an instrument called the “BeautyQol,” of course. It has been used on thousands of people in 13 different countries around the world to assess social life, self-confidence, mood, energy and attractiveness and their direct correlation with beauty products.
“The positive impact of cosmetics on self esteem and well-being has been well-known since the Antique period, but this is the first time we are able to scientifically measure this impact on the key dimensions of Quality of Life, says Dr. Ariel Beresniak, CEO of Data Mining International.
