You know how you can buy a gift for a child and he’ll play with the box more than the toy inside? That’s essentially how we feel about Saffron James Parfums.
We almost didn’t bother with the fragrance inside the box because said box is so incredibly gorgeous and worthy of display. But luckily, after much oohing and ahhing, we managed to get past the presentation and experience the love letter to Hawaii that is Saffron James’ scents.
We’re especially glad we didn’t ignore the le’a eau de parfum. Under the wooden cap is a bright blend of plumeria-both yellow and pink. These two tropical flowers may share a genus, but their differences extend beyond color, offering two aromas that layer upon each other to emit a citrusy yet flowery sum that’s enhanced by pineapple leaf, hibiscus and passionflower.
It’s no surprise that the meaning of the word le’a ranges from joy to orgasm, because Saffron James has given us a fragrance that’s truly wearable during experiences extending from casual fun to seriously sensual.
Needless to say, we’re very glad we let it out of its beautiful box.
