A Hand Cream To Top Them All

I admit it-I’m an addict. Every time I wash my hands or even walk past a shelf full of scented hand creams, I have to put one on. Who knows when this addiction started, maybe when I first moved to New York in the dead of winter and learned that a thick hand cream was more than necessary to soothe chapped skin? Either way, it’s followed me to balmy Los Angeles, where I now reside. Call it what you will, but I can’t stop using hand cream. I love it. And I especially love to discover new ones that offer more than just a lovely scent.

So trust me when I say, ladies, I have found the mother of all hand creams in Strivectin-SD Volumizing Hand Treatment ($29). Why? Well, funny you should ask. Not only does it moisturize your hands, it actually helps them look younger. As we know, we lose collagen and firmness in our skin as we age-a problem we don’t just see in our face, but in our hands as well. In fact, it’s our hands that sometimes give our age away. This cream takes care of that. It’s packed with ingredients like the patented NIA-114 to help restore skin texture, a skin brightening complex to reduce dark spots and antioxidants that protect and moisturize.

Add to that, the fact that it’s free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, and petrochemicals. It absorbs quickly and makes your hands instantly feel smoother and plumper. Oh, and the scent. It’s a slight minty one that gives your skin a little tingle, but doesn’t last long. I’m sold on it-though, I’ll likely still carry around more than one hand cream, and stop by counters to try new ones now and then.
