It’s not easy for me to admit when I’m wrong, but recently, I was happy to. I wanted a daily body lotion with broad-spectrum sunscreen, and I honestly thought I’d have to look to the more expensive skin-care brands to find a satisfactory solution. In fact, I couldn’t even think of any drugstore brands that make one, so when I quickly browsed the lotions at Walgreens last week, my expectations were as low as they could get. Then, a little red “NEW” caught my eye from the Eucerin shelf. There, much to my surprise, was an SPF 15 formula called Everyday Protection Body Lotion. At under $10 for a 13.5-ounce jumbo pump-bottle, I didn’t even read the rest of the package before scooping it up and buying it.
It was the best hasty purchase in my recent history! The light, non-greasy texture is just rich enough to make my skin feel fully covered, but not doused. It has essential antioxidants to protect against free-radical damage on top of UVA and UVB rays. Plus, as you’d expect from dermatologist-beloved Eucerin, it’s fragrance-free and very gentle on sensitive skin (like mine).
Although I bought it specifically because of its SPF (it’s recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation, by the way), the moisture it provides is so comfortable and long-lasting that I don’t limit the application to exposed skin. I make sure it goes on before my shirt and pants do every morning.
