INNOVATIVE INJECTABLE
In order to minimize the appearance of facial folds and rejuvenate her skin, the patient shown here received a LaViv treatment. Recently approved by the FDA, the treatment can be an alternative or adjunct to traditional fillers and uses the patient’s own cells to regrow collagen. “The concept of using a patient’s own collagen-making cells is a revolutionary way to help treat nasolabial fold wrinkles and help restore a fresh appearance,” says Dr. Robert Weiss.

When it comes to cosmetic rejuvenation, the Maryland Laser, Skin & Vein Institute doesn’t just address facial concerns. Body contouring, for example, is also a large portion of the practice, performed via LifeSculpt™ laser liposuction. “We can treat large areas at once, melting and liquefying fat with only local anesthesia so patients can resume their activities as quickly as possible,” says Dr. Robert Weiss. “Patients also reap the benefit of skin tightening via heat emitted from the laser wavelengths.” FDA-cleared for laser-assisted lipolysis, the procedure can help reduce sagging and laxity, in addition to removing unwanted fat. “We can treat areas such as the stomach, back, buttocks, love handles and even the arms.
