She completed medical school at Northwestern University School of Medicine, general surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University, and fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Sweis is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the Allergan Faculty Network, a group of physicians nationally recognized for their skill in Botox Cosmetic and soft-tissue fillers. In addition, Dr. Sweis is a distinguished member of the National Council of Leaders in Breast Aesthetics, an Allergan Inc. organization that recognizes plastic surgeons for their work in breast augmentation.
Dr. Sweis says, “In this era, we are witnessing tremendous growth and advances in plastic surgery. As plastic surgeons, we need to be our patients’ advocates. We must be both receptive and critical of these innovations to ensure that they meet thehighest medical and surgical standards for our patients.” In private practice since 1997, Dr. Sweis focuses exclusively on surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, breast enhancement and body contouring. She works closely with each patient to understand and address his or her unique concerns. She then applies advanced surgical skills coupled with an artistic sense to provide refined physical enhancements. She emphasizes, “The result should be very natural and harmonious, allowing patients to feel more attractive and confident.”
