What sets your practice apart?

In my practice, patients get very individualized service, and it’s geared toward safety. My practice is not a spa. All procedures, including injectables, are done by the doctor, and surgical procedures are done in certified ambulatory surgery centers with proper medical support.

What can patients expect from you?

They can expect my undivided attention and reliable results. I evaluate each patient’s entirefacial harmony and adapt my techniques to achieve a custom result, taking as long as needed to get them to their new appearance.

What advancements are on the horizon?

I think there are going to be more technology based surgeries, where we can use computers to make everything more precise. I also think we’re going to see more stem cell type fillers. Right now I’m using platelet-rich plasma, separated from the patient’s own blood, as a filler. People can get a nice high-volume rejuvenation with it, and the skin looks smoother and clearer. It makes the skin look healthier and fuller and the regenerative quality of the plasma helps it last about a year.

How do you measure success?

A successful result is when a patient looks in the mirror and sees the image they have of themselves in their mind’s eye looking back at them.

How do you spend your free time?

I am an avid endurance runner, and for the past few years have been participating in and completing several half and full marathon races. Training for and finishing in these events requires the ability to remain focused for long periods. I bring this same dedication to each patient I work with.

How are you like an artist?

Developing a specialty in noses and faces requires an artistic enjoyment of solving puzzles. Just like sculpting a piece of marble, facial surgery takes patience, planning and skill to bring about comprehensive beauty from what starts out as separate pieces.

THE RULES OF RHINOPLASTY
The challenge of rearranging the structure of the nose in both new and revision rhinoplasties is not one that Dr. Schwartz takes lightly. “This is not an implant. This is not a technology. This is something that comes from the skill and creativity of the doctor,” Dr. Schwartz says. “And you want it to look right because it’s right on your face and everyone is going to see it.” Therefore, examining the patient thoroughly, understanding the concern and the anatomy behind it as well as using computer imaging to simulate different results are all tools Dr. Schwartz uses to ensure he and the patient are on the same page. Once a plan is made, patients are put at ease by Dr. Schwartz’s experience with everything from new noses to reconstructions from trauma and cancer malformations. “I have a lot of techniques and tricks in my bag, and they aren’t limited to one-size-fits-all,” he says. “You want to do different things for different people. My patients can count on retaining their individuality.”
