Vanquish: A Pain-Free Fat Melter

Summer is fast approaching and that means that those bikinis are lurking in your drawer (cue Jaws music). To prepare, many of us hit the gym and start swapping out our burgers for salads, but sometimes we need a little extra help. While there are many invasive and non-invasive treatments out there, there’s one fat melter that can zap your unwanted fat without even touching your body.

A new device called Vanquish that promises to help you get rid of unwanted fat will soon be made available. This Czech-made device requires four 30-minute sessions spaced a week apart to see results. The patient just lies under the machine while the sensors read their body fat to determine the energy level needed. Then focused-field radio frequency heats the skin to 101 degrees and the underlying fat to 120 degrees to help eliminate fat cells.

But enough about how it works, what we really want to know is, does it work? A study done by the manufacturer, BLT Aesthetics, revealed that patients saw visible results after one session. After all four sessions, 59 percent of the abdominal fat was destroyed and patients lost either two or three inches around their waist. Even better, these results are also long lasting because the device kills the entire fat cell instead of just the fat in the cell like other devices.

Did we mention it’s also pain-free? Those who have already experienced the device have said that it just gives a warm sensation. Tests revealed no evidence of nerve pain or damage to the skin, hair follicles, muscles or organs. So besides the fat loss, the only side effect is just a few days of mild redness and swelling.

It’s estimated to cost about $2,000 for four sessions when it becomes available in September. Would you try it?

I had 5 treatments with Vanquish. It did nothing. Yes it is FDA approved and no I did not get hot spots nor any burns but my jeans fit exactly the same. I was told after the treatment was complete that I was not a good candidate because it works better on people who have more fat to lose. I had this done at the office of Dr.Brown in Ashbury VA.

Someone asked how long it last. Its just like a diet where you lose 20 pounds or lose 3 inches in your waist. It will last as long as you allow it to last. The fat DOES melt, and exits your body through exercise (sweat) and drinking lots of water to flush. My doctor recommended 30 minutes of cardio after each session. Or at least 30 minutes 3x a week. It does work!! It definitely melts the fat. Its up to you to get it to exit the body. And its up to you to keep it off. You will have to watch your diet and start some sort of exercise program to keep it off. Fat cells will come back if you just do nothing. Its an instant diet. an instant weight loss. and it WORKS!! But if you love the results and want to keep them you are going to have to do some life changes and maintenance. I worked with a personal trainer AND did this together. And lost 8" in my waist and dropped from a 6 to a 2 in just a few months. This is for anyone that wants to see immediate results. But unless you can afford to do it every 6 months, its up to you to keep it off. Hope this helps.

I actually had this done - and IT WORKS! I did it at Rejuv Skin & Laser Clinic in Fargo as well, as someone mentioned I think they are the only ones in ND to do it. I was very skeptical, I actually consulted twice before I decided to do it because it seems to good to be true. It didn't hurt except for what they called "hot spots" and at that time they adjusted the machine and any pain would go away. I did 6 treatments and then they had me come back in for pictures about 4 weeks later. I was stunned at the results! I didn't lose any weight but I knew I had lost inches because my pants around my belly fit WAY better. So to see the pictures it just confirmed that for me. I didnt measure but would guess about 2 inches and down about 2 pants sizes. I am about 20 pounds away from my ideal weight still but this has helped me lose stubborn fat pockets that havent worked for me to lose. They recommended also doing CoolSculpting afterward to build on my results and I think I will do that too. Oh and cost was about $3000 - for me I guess I would say well worth it.

I have completed 3 of my 4 treatments and so far I can see a difference on myself and in photos. There was a bit of a burning type pain during the first session that made me uncomfortable but you kind of get used to the feeling as you go through the other sessions. You will develop some hard spots in the areas treated but they will diminish. I did mine in Agoura Hills CA. So far so good!

I have had four treatments....the first time I complained of pain on my right side, which resulted in some kind of lump.....I will be having my 5th treatment tomorrow...out of six that was recommended, ....I was not told that I needed to exercise afterwards....so far I do not see any results....does anyone know if the fat reduction will continue even after the final treatment?

I had it done tech had to stop 4 or 5 times kept telling her it was too hot ended up with third degree burns resulting in necrosis of the abdominal tissue and fat. It will be a long painful recovery. So make sure they know what they are doing. If it is too hot stop them. That's not the way it should feel. Don't think it is the machine its the person using it.

Sorry, I have to take the position of too good to be true. How long is "long lasting?" I would save my money for the plastic surgeon.

I did all the sessions (5) on my back fat. It did work amazingly well! Just a heads up: it works better if you just have a few inches to lose. For deeper fat deposits, or any fat that you can grab a big handful of, a combination of cool sculpting , then follow up with vanquish seems to work the best. At least that was my experience. And drink alot of water! All my back fat is gone, and I'm doing my stomach now. Neither vanquish or cool sculpting tighten skin, so when the fat is gone, your skin does lose its firmness. I have lost 4 inches around my back, and I have my old hourglass figure back. I'm 48, if that helps anyone. Also, I didn't want my husband to know that I did anything, and vanquish makes that possible! I would recommend going to a doctor for this, because it does get a little hot, and the tech needs to know what they're doing!

I have had $5000.00 put away for a tummy tuck-still on the fence. Choosing any surgery is a major decision. If only this would really work. I could save myself from a lot of post surgery suffering, and, of course, some money. Whether spending $2000.00 or $5000.00 ,It's important that I lose the fat; not the money. By the way, I exercise for at least two hours each day and I am physically active. My nutritional diet now consist of mostly fruits and vegetables yet, the pouch is still present. I am feeling very defeated;hence the decision to go forth with the tummy tuck. Is there anyone in N.Y.C. *qualified to perform this procedure? And no Michelle, it isn't vain to be in the best physical and mental health that you can be.

I am in Charlotte NC and tried this last Thursday for the first time. I have a total of 5 treatments. I'm excited to see the results. I don't think there is anything different yet but it's only been 3 days. And, I wasn't aware that you needed to drink 8 glasses of water the day before, day of and day after and have about 20 minutes of light cardio. I did drink 8 glasses the morning of and by the time I was half way through the 30 minute treatment I had to pee so bad it was painful! Ugh! I'm going to schedule later in the day so I can get the water in early and have time to release!
