beauty’s full spectrum
Calling upon 16 years of experience and knowledge, gained from thousands of procedures performed, Dr. Lloyd B. Gayle parlays his accumulated wisdom, surgical know-how and in depth appreciation for the human form into refined cosmetic outcomes that reflect his background in micro- and reconstructive plastic surgery.
My progression from a reconstructive focus to one centered on cosmetic plastic surgery was a natural evolution for me,” says Dr. Gayle, whose discerning eye for detail, thorough approach and honed aesthetic skills are results of his extensive training and experience. “My comprehensive work with reconstruction patients has enriched my understanding of the human body, expanding my surgical capabilities. This realizes itself as beautiful cosmetic surgical outcomes for my patients.” As the chief of plastic surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell campus, Dr. Gayle relays his proficiency to residents, instilling in them the value of natural-looking outcomes that recreate what nature originally intended. Making an impact in the community, however, is nothing new for this veteran plastic surgeon. “I truly love what I do,” says Dr. Gayle of his ability to improve the appearances and lives of others through his cosmetic procedures, which include breast surgery, body contouring and facial rejuvenation treatments. “Our office prides itself on the personal care it offers patients, and the aesthetic refinements we can provide for them,” says Dr. Gayle, who was featured in New York Magazine’s list of Best Doctors 2009. “Everyone here is devoted to providing compassionate, high-end service and creating a nurturing environment where patients feel comfortable, respected and cared for.”

Performing the majority of his surgeries within the same brownstone as his Upper East Side practice, in the facility’s fully accredited operating center, Dr. Gayle values patients’ privacy. “Many patients find the intimacy reassuring and are comforted by the familiarity,” says Dr. Gayle. “We do everything we can to make the experience as pleasant as possible, delivering results that redefine how patients view themselves.”

Inside Information
SCRUPULOUS AND METICULOUS
“I use my consultations to get to know patients, learning about them, their likes, their families, their objectives and their cosmetic ideals, as well as their reasons for coming to see me,” says Dr. Gayle. “I spend as much time as needed with a patient, sometimes anywhere from AN HOUR TO 90 MINUTES, to determine the best course of action in relation to a patient’s aesthetic goals. “To ensure his patients receive what he refers to as “the best possible care, with the HIGHEST REGARD FOR SAFETY AND AESTHETIC EXCELLENCE ,” Dr. Gayle works with a group of board certified anesthesiologists and engages in COMPREHENSIVE PRE-SURGICAL PLANING. “All of my operations are firmly established before ever stepping foot in the operating room, which enables me to EXECUTE THE PATIENT’S VISION CLEARLY AND EFFICIENTLY,” he says. Prior to surgery, all of his patients receive a packet of information about their particular surgery and written instructions for post-surgical care. “All post-surgical patients receive follow-up calls and can reach me anytime. Enlightening patients helps me to further involve them in the experience, partnering with them to achieve gorgeous aesthetic results—together, as a team.”
