Comfortable lip color all day long

I know hate is a strong word, but I can’t help it: I’ve always hated the texture of long-wearing lipsticks. They’ve always broken my heart by breaking their promises. Sounds like my ex-husband. Anyway, being the highly observant person I am, I didn’t even notice that Susan Posnick ColorForever lip color was supposed to be long-wearing. (Hello? ColorForever? Duh, Marci.) I glided on the color side of the dual-ended product, and immediately fell in love with color (in this case, Mick) and the stain-esque (but richer) texture that left a pretty, matte finish. I almost left it that way, but decided to shine it up with the clear gloss side.
Imagine my surprise with none of the color came off of the clear side’s applicator! “It’s transfer resistant!” I told my uninterested dog. I sipped a bottle of water in the car on my way to work, and not only did it look the same when I got there (and as I’m writing this), but none of it got in the bottle, or the subsequent cups of coffee.
And as if ColorForever didn’t already have enough qualities to make it an exception to my long-wearing lipstick abhorrence, each shade is named after a music icon. In addition to Mick, there’s Janis, Stevie, Jimi and Rod.
These fantastic $24 duos will be available in May.
