Guard your garb from makeup stains

Guard your garb from makeup stains

Posted Thursday, July 29, 2010 by Marci Robin, NewBeauty Senior Online Editor

If you're anything like me, there is no safe order for putting on makeup and getting dressed. If I put on makeup after getting dressed, I'm liable to drop at least one product on myself. If I put it on before dressing, anything that gets pulled over my head is bound to take some foundation and lipstick with it.

At least if I decide to take the latter route, I can use something I wish I'd always known about: Garment Saver. This gauzy guard comfortably fits over your head, so when you pull on a dress or top, there's a layer between the fabric and your makeup. It even keeps hair products off of your clothing. No more last-minute outfit changes because of a cosmetic stain!

Garment Saver is also a must for anyone wearing an updo that needs to stay perfect. How many brides regret forgetting to wear a button-down shirt while getting their hair done? It's not an issue with this hygienic, disposable must-have.

Whether you want just a couple for a special occasion or a big box for everyday use, Garment Saver is affordable insurance for your finished look.

Nathan Johnson | Celebrity Makeup Artist
Having designed and applied make up for hundreds of films, appearances and runway shows, I can not tell you the number of times I have seen models and celebrities put on an outfit only to find they have smeared make-up on their collar (and sometimes even stranger places. This little gauze bag should be in every make-up, hair and wardrobe stylists kit. Hundreds of dollars, countless hours and a whole lot of frustration could be saved with this one little sheath. For the real woman, one or two should always be around. You will have a special event and this could save you. I would be shocked to learn if you have not experienced this make-up on the clothes 'terror' before. If you haven't, you're lucky....now be sure to prevent it. Buy this for yourself and give it to gal pals at their bridal showers!!!!!
