Calendula shines in a cream for thirsty skin
Posted Friday, May 14, 2010
We've seen calendula as an ingredient in countless skincare products, but it rarely makes a star turn like it does in the oh-so pure Calendula Cream by Alchemilla.
When what your skin craves most is moisture, this big-on-botanicals formula is a perfect way to quench its often-uncomfortable thirst. The emollient formula utilizes sunflower, aloe, carrot, shea butter, sea buckthorn and marshmallow (the plant kind—not the confection) in the most hydrating manner possible.
But it's the calendula, often called marigold, that pulls it all together as a great moisturizer. Grown organically at the brand's own farm, it's one of the key reasons this cream is so effective against dehydration.
