Our first thought upon receiving Miss Jessie's Super Sweetback Treatment was, what's sweetback?, naturally. And although we managed to trace the reference back to Melvin Van Peebles' 1971 pre-blaxploitation pic Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song, we're still not clear on its exact meaning—and from the hints we've picked up, we're not sure we want to know anymore.
What we do know, however, is that Super Sweetback Treatment, regardless of its vernacular roots, is a boon for the roots on top of your head.
