Glowing gams without a too-dark hue

Posted Monday, February 01, 2010 by Marci Robin, NewBeauty Senior Online Editor

As much as I love wearing dresses and skirts, one thing in particular keeps me from wearing them as often as I'd like: my legs. As proud as I am of my paleness, the skin tone that looks porcelain on my face can make for some pretty pasty pins.

I was looking for a solution other than self-tanner or full-blown body bronzer, which is what I foolishly assumed show stopper year round body glow was. But this creation by JK Jemma Kidd, the namesake makeup artist's Target line, has given me the confidence to wear skirts instead of pants—and without tights.

Instead of a dramatically dark tan, show stopper blends into skin with just a hint of glowing tint to make it look a little more alive. Its ever-so-slight shimmer, made from minerals, manipulates the light to help camouflage flaws (like my shaving scars).

Part of what helps show stopper go on so smoothly, even on dry legs like mine, is its hydrating formula, which includes sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E and linden.

I just wish they'd make it in a larger bottle than 2.5 ounces—I'm using it several times a week!
