The NewBeauty SampleBar makes its mall debut

Being a member of the NewBeauty team is a thrilling, crazy and surprising experience every day—especially when we work on projects outside of the magazine. Our latest task was to create a free-standing, automated sampling station filled with premium beauty products priced at $3, $5 and $10 each.
The idea spawned from a massive survey we did with our NewBeauty Beauty Influencer Panel of readers. We discovered that more than 87% of shoppers were open to new methods of sampling beauty products. That statistic shocked us.
About 20,000 people subscribe to our TestTube program, and we all have our favorite promotions that specialty beauty stores or department stores offer to introduce great products into our product-junkie lives. "Team NewBeauty" knew we had to take sampling to the next level.
So we did.
November marked the launched of the first ever NewBeauty SampleBar in Miami, Florida's Aventura Mall. Filled with over 60 types of hair, skin, body and smile products, the beauty-curious can try deluxe-size samples from the luxury brands they read about in the pages of the magazine.
The feedback and response to our SampleBar trial has been overwhelming! Check out the coverage we recently received on Miami's NBC Channel 6 and South Florida's FOX Channel 7 Style File segment.
Next up, we hope to see a NewBeauty SampleBar in malls and across the country, as well as airports, which I'd love, personally, because I'm one of those gals who need a separate bag just for my toiletries!
