Why it's nice to cleanse twice

Have you ever noticed, when you go in for a facial, that they wash your skin twice in a row? This isn't necessarily a special method; it's actually a lesson in good skincare habits!
Why should you wash your face twice? The first cleansing only removes daily buildup of dirt, oil, makeup, etc. This is called a "pre-cleanse" and isn't enough to clean pores thoroughly. You need to get that day's worth of grime off of your face first.
The second wash is the deep cleaning. This is especially important to do at night, as you've been collecting debris on your skin all day long. But doing it in the morning can be a good habit to start because we also build up extra oils on our face as we sleep. (Not to mention what you pick up off of your pillow all night!)
