DEAN M. TORIUMI, MD
Facial plastic surgeon Dean M. Toriumi, MD, is a professor in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He serves as a director on the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has published many clinical papers in facial plastic surgery and co-authored Open Structure Rhinoplasty and the Rhinoplasty Dissection Manual. Dr. Toriumi is primarily known for his expertise in rhinoplasty and stresses preservation of structural support and creation of a natural-looking outcome. Much of his practice is dedicated to secondary rhinoplasty, or correction of noses damaged by previous surgery. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
