MARK L. JEWELL, MD
Aesthetic plastic surgeon Mark L. Jewell, MD, of Eugene, Oregon, is president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dr. Jewell serves as a clinical investigator of breast implants for implant manufacturers Mentor and Inamed and is co-clinical developer of Vaser ultrasound lipoplasty. An associate editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, he also serves as the governor for the National Endowment for Plastic Surgery and as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). In 2003, ASAPS awarded Dr. Jewell the Tiffany Award for best scientific presentation. He held the prestigious Joyce Kaye Lectureship from 1998 to 2004 and has taught numerous scientific courses and authored multiple scientific journal articles and the ASPS Patient Consultation Resource Guide. Dr. Jewell is an avid marathon runner and helicopter-skiing adventurer.
