How to Get a Spa-Worthy Pedicure At Home featured image

The winter months can do a number on our skin, including our feet. Our soles are prone to the same dryness that can leave skin looking dull. Treating them to a moisturizing pedicure is the key to keeping our toes hydrated this season. Celebrity manicurist Skyy Hadley has the perfect foot soak that you can do make right at home.

1. Mix 2 cups of whole milk and 1 cup of hot water into a bowl.

2. Add a few drops of lavender or vanilla essential oil

3. Soak feet for 5-10 minutes to allow the lactic acid in milk to loosen dead skin, smoothing out calluses. The essential oils will calm the skin and soothe any soreness or inflammation

4. Exfoliate your heels, feet and lower legs with a sugar scrub. For a DIY scrub, mix together 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, baking soda and olive oil.

Our Product Pick: Bliss Foot Patrol uses peppermint and salicylic acid to smooth and soften skin. $18, blissworld.com

5. Finish with a thick, shea butter lotion to lock in an extra dose of moisture.

Our Product Pick: Clarisonic Pedi-Balm has a gentle blend of shea butter, honey and apricot oil to hydrate and protect feet. $27, sephora.com

Ready to paint those toes? Here’s what we recommend:
