The Anti-Aging Effects of Omega-3s
Omega-3s are a must in any healthy, nutritious diet for a number of reasons. Now, thanks too a new study at Ohio State University, anti-aging may soon be added to the list of benefits offered by omega-3s. A study revealed that participants who took omega-3 supplements for four months affected the ratio of their fatty acid consumption in a way that helped preserve tiny segments of DNA, known as telomeres, which typically shorten and degrade during the aging process. Sounds promising.
Not sure where to get a hearty dose of omega-3s or how much you should be consuming? No problem. Read more here and get more anti-aging advice in the Winter-Spring NewBeauty issue, on newsstands now.
