Airbrush Your Way To Younger Skin (No Photoshop Necessary)

Dark under eye circles, spots, discoloration, and acne scars-be afraid, be very afraid. We challenged airbrush makeup artists to take years off the face of this woman, who complained about the aforementioned skin problems.

The only makeup used on her (plus some lip gloss, we will admit), was Temptu AIRbrush Makeup System ($225). The first of it's kind, you can use it to apply age-defying foundation and even blush, and you can adjust the coverage from sheer to heavy.

"Airbrush makeup is ideal for addressing discoloration under the eyes, which can age you because it allows you to layer foundation while giving full coverage that is still sheer," says JP McCary, vice president of global artistry for Temptu. "It also doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles and camouflages texture issues because the molecules in the formula are larger and rounder."

What do you think? Does she look younger? And have you tried airbrush makeup?

I use Luminess Air airbrush system, not the Temptu brand. The results are flawless. If you are looking for true full coverage--without the cakiness-- or are tired of looking for the perfect color match for your skin, get an airbrush system. Even if they color in the tube doesn't look exact, when you spray it on it melds with your skin tone and creates a seamless color match. So many department store brands claim to be 'airbrush finish' but without using an actual airbrush system, you will not get that true airbrush look. Luminess (I am sure Temptu works well, too) will give you flawless coverage that will not melt or disappear by the end of the day. I prefer the matte foundation for Luminess over the ultra (which comes with the starter kit) because it stays on all day and has a true matte finish. Another nice aspect of airbrush is you can choose how much coverage you want and it still looks natural and seamless. You can get Luminess at Spalook.com/SkinStore.com and Temptu at Sephora.

I've been using airbrush makeup for years and it is true! High Definition videos, photo shoots all come out better with Airbrushing. I use Kett Cosmetics through a pro Thayer and Chandler compressor and Badger Airbrush but have seen Temptu in Sephora. Which ever system you choose, you can't do any better than an airbrush finish. Absolutely amazing.
