Hair Loss

Whether your hair loss is temporary or permanent, you have a variety of solutions to choose from, going far beyond scarves, hats and wigs.

For a nonsurgical option, try a topical treatment like minoxidil, which can possibly stimulate hair growth. Low-level laser light therapy is another nonsurgical alternative, stimulating hair growth. This method requires a series of multiple treatments over four to six months.

Hair restoration surgery is always an option if your hair isn't too thin, fine or light in color. A strip of dense hair taken from a donor site on the patient's scalp is divided into single, two- or three-strand hair groups and transplanted into the thinning areas. Tiny grafts are then placed on a recipient site where they will grow as permanent hair. When done properly, the transplant will be undetectable.
