Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty was the second most popular cosmetic surgical procedure in 2004, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. But not all nose surgery is performed for strictly cosmetic reasons; rhinoplasty can correct structural abnormalities, like a deviated septum, which can lead to breathing problems, chronic stuffiness, post-nasal drip and even snoring.

RISKS

Unpredictable results are possible. The aesthetic outcome of rhinoplasty cannot always be foreseen. Bones may dislodge, and cartilage and soft tissue may change in shape over time. In addition, results may not develop as you had hoped, and asymmetry is possible. Secondary procedures may occasionally be required to refine your results to achieve your original goal.

BEFORE AND AFTER: RHINOPLASTY

Before and after rhinoplasty. The nasal hump was removed and the tip was set back closer to the face which makes the nose appear shorter and the upper lip look more relaxed.
