Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is most commonly an outpatient procedure performed
either under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. It
takes place in an office-based surgical suite, a free-standing ambulatory
or a hospital surgical facility. An overnight hospital stay is occassionally recommended.
Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, returns the breast to a more youthful shape and position.
The nipple and areola are moved to a higher natural point of projection. Underlying breast
tissue is tightened and sagging breast skin is reduced. It's also possible to reduce the size
of an enlarged areola.

A breast reduction is more than removing excess tissue and fat. The breast itself needs to be
sculpted into a smaller shape. The techniques and incision patterns used are essentially the
same as those used in a breast lift.

Breast implant sizes are measured in cubic centimeters (ccs). The size of the
implant along with its placement and your own breast tissue will determine your final size.

Breast implants can be detected by the touch, whether they are placed
