The newest high-tech wrinkle-softening strategy

The FDA recently approved a new cosmetic treatment with effects like that of Botox but with a method completely unlike Botox’s. It’s called GFX, and it uses radio frequency to relax the furrows between the brows.
Here’s how it works: a qualified physician makes a tiny puncture in the skin, into which the GFX needle probe is inserted. He or she administers a controlled amount of radio frequency energy, which ablates a tiny section of the motor nerves, disabling them and consequently relaxing the associated wrinkles. Unlike other needle-based wrinkle-smoothers, nothing is actually injected into the tissues, and the results last well over a year.
It may not be easy to find physicians with GFX technology just yet, but because its gaining momentum very quickly, you can expect to hear and see more about it soon.
